Who We Are

The Equestrian Association of the Philippines is the national federation for equestrian sports in the country. We are dedicated in uniting and developing the equestrian community in the Philippines.

We have two main disciplines: Show Jumping and Dressage. We aim to have a third discipline called Endurance.

We are recognized by the international federation for equestrian sports, Fédéracion Equestre Internationale (FEI), the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

Mission

To develop and promote equestrian sport in the Philippines with integrity, inclusivity, and excellence, while honoring the horse and rider as two athletes united in a partnership built on trust, welfare, and respect.

To uphold the highest standards of horse welfare, sportsmanship, and integrity; while creating sustainable educational pathways from grassroots to elite competition.

To represent the Philippines with professionalism, honor, and excellence globally.

Vision

To be a globally respected equestrian nation that develops world-class athletes, prioritizes horse welfare, and fosters a unified, inclusive equestrian community that proudly represents the Philippines on the international stage.

Current Board Members

Michelle Barrera-Juban
PRESIDENT
Michelle started riding at the age of 11, and through dedicated training, first represented the Philippines at the age of 12. She has competed internationally since then, and has trained in Australia, Europe, and Canada.
Katrina Montinola
VICE PRESIDENT
Katrina Montinola's love of horses began at the Manila Polo Club, where she grew up riding and honing her skills in the Philippines. As a junior rider, she represented the Pony Club of the Philippines in international competitions across Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom throughout the 1980s.
Paola Lorenzo
TREASURER
Paola Lorenzo, Equestrian Association of the Philippines treasurer, holds a degree in Management Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University. She is also one of the Philippines' rising stars in equestrian sport, winning an Individual Silver Medal for Show Jumping in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games.
Antoinette Begre-Lacson
CORPORATE SECRETARY/SECRETARY GENERAL
Antoinette entered the equestrian world relatively recent, acquiring her first two local horses in 2008—an experience that sparked a lasting passion for the sport. In 2015, she established a small riding school in Negros Occidental, Happy Horse Farms, where she focuses on working with local, rescued, and adopted horses. Her long-term vision is to contribute to the development of equestrian sports at the grassroots level in the Philippines.
Janine Felix
BOARD MEMBER
Janine Santos-Felix is a Filipino equestrian, former national athlete, and experienced show jumping coach. She represented the Philippines in international competitions from 1995 to 2004, including the 2004 Southeast Asian Games Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and won Team Dressage Silver and Team Show Jumping Bronze at the 1997 Southeast Asian Games in Chang Mai, Thailand.
Camila Lastrilla-Curto
BOARD MEMBER
Camila Lastrilla Curto is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Equestrian Association of the Philippines, with a career that bridges elite competition, athlete development, and highperformance sports management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science (High Honors) with an equine specialization from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA (Magna Cum Laude, Valedictorian) from IPMI International Business School, with earlier studies in pre-veterinary medicine. She has served as an FEI Level 1 Jumping Judge since 2023 and is on track to attain her Level 2 certification before the end of 2026.
Andrea Montelibano-Cruz

My name is Andrea Montelibano Cruz, and I am a riding instructor at the Manila Polo Club. I began riding at the age of two, when my father first taught me on our farm in Bacolod City. From him, I learned not only the fundamentals of riding but also the values of true horsemanship
